Sadly, the
Olympics are over, so what can you watch on TV now?. Never fear, the first season of
Gossip Girl came out on DVD in the UK last week, whetting my appetite for series two (alongside all the photos from
last week's premiere party in the US). Looking back on it all, I can't believe they managed to fit so much scandal, intrigue and dastardly Chuck into just 18 episodes (thanks to the WGA strike) – but then I remembered, this is all from those bods behind
The OC – a show with a breakneck pace that's hard to explain to a non-viewer.
Russell Brand was full of smiles as he went to the cinema in Hollywood. The comedian is spending more and more time in LA, as the biggest
presenting gig of his life approaches.
When he's not spending time
chatting up mannequins, Russell will no doubt be busy preparing for the
MTV Video Music Awards.
Following that
VMA promo with Britney — where the singer says Brown instead of Brand — we've got more surname fun as LL Cool J calls Mr Brand a word that no one could accuse him of being.
I cannot wait for 7 September.
No prizes for guessing where I'd like to be right now. George Clooney and Brad Pitt are both in Italy for the start of the
Venice Film Festival, and both were looking as dashing as ever yesterday. Brad was in Dad mode during the day, taking the gorgeous Pax and adorable Maddox out on a boat through the famous canals.
