The
National Television Awards may have had some
stunning dresses and make-up looks, and I may have gotten to talk to some great celebrities, but really the whole event was about the gongs that were handed out during the ceremony. Four US faces came over to help give them out — Zachary Quinto, Nicollette Sheridan, Michael Urie and Paris Hilton — but the winners were all Brits, as voted for by the public.
In the press room following each acceptance speech we were visited by the winners.
Stars of the awesome
Gavin and Stacey — James Corden, Joanna Page, Mathew Horne and Ruth Jones — took to a double decker bus in London for a fab new image in
Marie Claire magazine's TV special! Lovely Ruth says in the November issue that her most often asked question is "Have you ever thought about losing weight, because you have a pretty face?", while James Corden named his lucky charm in life as Ruth.
Fearne Cotton and Denise Van Outen are also both featured in the TV special, check out
the exclusive video which takes you behind the scenes on their shoot!

After the glamorous arrivals it was time to get down to the nitty gritty of the
GQ Men Of The Year Awards and give out the gongs. There were some fab photo opportunities as the stars collided – Dave Grohl and Bobby Gillespie looked like twins with their long hair, Josh Brolin got a kiss on the cheek from Thandie Newton, and a bewildered-looking Boris Johnson received his award from Trinny and Susannah. My favourite, James Corden, received his breakthrough award from
Gavin and Stacey co-writer Ruth Jones, and Alfie Allen and Jaime Winstone
had their engagement revealed by Alfie's sister Lily who introduced Jamie as "my future sister-in-law".

The
GQ Men Of The Year awards ceremony took place in London last night, hosted by Lily Allen in front of a room full of famous faces. Lily wore a big attention-grabbing dress as hostess (which apparently
proved slightly difficult to walk in), and spilled
a terrifying story about her friend who was kidnapped and locked in a car boot for seven days. She
said: "I just want to thank the Met Police.

Denise Van Outen looked lovely in her on-trend lace dress when she stepped out at the weekend in London. The bubbly blonde
left her job at Capital Radio earlier this month, stepping away from her two time co-host Johnny Vaughan as the early morning just became too much for her. As
we found out recently, Denise is now filming Hairspray: The School Musical for Sky One, in which she'll attempt to help the kids at a London school put on a production of Hairspray, she said:
"We've picked the best school for this, they're really good.
