She certainly seemed happier surrounded by those balloons than when she was strolling around London this week. I expect the grin on her face will get even bigger today, as the singer is amongst those lucky few who got an invite to the extravagant opening ceremony for the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. Princes William and Harry joined a whole host of stars on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square last night for the Royal World Premiere of Quantum of Solace at the London Film Festival. Daniel Craig looked suitably suave alongside his partner, Satsuki Mitchell, and the famous females in attendance ignored the freezing weather and pulled out all the stops with their slinky outfits. Costars Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko went for bright jewel tones, with Judi Dench wearing the most striking accessory of the night on her back. Lily Allen stepped out in her leopard print coat at the opening party for a new Lipsy store last night, brightening up her basic all-black outfit underneath. She's been having trouble with the American Embassy, after they've apparently told her they'll need to ask her more questions before she's able to fly out for work in the States again. Lily's Label Looks Set To Launch Her LP

Lily Allen looked glam and glowing among the guests at the The Home of Dunhill Launch Party last night, including Kelly Brook's beau Danny Cipriani, and the face of the brand Jude Law. Lily had good reason to smile as she announced yesterday that, following her complaints that she didn't know what her label were doing with her album, she finally had some news for her fans on her blog:

My new album will be released on the 9th of Feb 2009. I know it's a while away, but there will be bits and bobs flying around before then, I'm shooting a video (for viral release) in the next couple of weeks, to keep you entertained. I am so excited, were getting all the artwork and stuff done and coming up with new and interesting ideas. I am trying really hard to do this album with integrity and I want you all to know that it has been thought about by me, not just some thrown together last minute industry bullshizz.

It's a long time to wait, but I look forward to hearing snippets in the meantime!

Stars Celebrate And Spar At The GQ Awards

After the glamorous arrivals it was time to get down to the nitty gritty of the GQ Men Of The Year Awards and give out the gongs. There were some fab photo opportunities as the stars collided – Dave Grohl and Bobby Gillespie looked like twins with their long hair, Josh Brolin got a kiss on the cheek from Thandie Newton, and a bewildered-looking Boris Johnson received his award from Trinny and Susannah. My favourite, James Corden, received his breakthrough award from Gavin and Stacey co-writer Ruth Jones, and Alfie Allen and Jaime Winstone had their engagement revealed by Alfie's sister Lily who introduced Jamie as "my future sister-in-law". Mysteriously Alfie just said "Well, now you know" in response.

Speaking of Lily, she and Elton John had a bit of a spar at the ceremony, as Lily introduced "the most important part of the night", Elton apparently interjected "What? Are you going to have another drink?" Lily then responded "F*** off Elton, I'm 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me!" He retorted, "I could still snort you under the table", and Lily replied "F*** off. I don't know what you're talking about." Wow.

Olympics Loving Lily Lashes Out

Lily Allen tried to throw a punch at a passer-by in London's Soho early this morning, having enjoyed a night out with pal Miquita Oliver at the Groucho Club. The singer had been full of smiles as she left Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, but after reportedly being heckled Lily lashed out, although it seems the punch failed to connect. This behaviour is reminiscent of a certain other young female singer, so I hope Lily doesn't continue to follow in Amy's footsteps. She's been blogging on her MySpace page, writing about how much she's enjoying the Olympics, so perhaps a couple of nights in front on the telly would be a good idea. Lily also blogged about her album delay, saying:

"It has been finished for a while now, I don't really know whats going on with it. The record industry is a very political place at the moment and I am on EMI records, lots of people have been fired or have taken redundancy recently as the company was taken over by a private equity firm called Terra Firma. Many of these people were people assigned to my projects and now I don't quite know what's going on. I'm sure everyone will find their feet soon enough and I'll be able to put the album out soon."

Let's hope the album sees the light of day sooner rather than later.

Lily Allen had a truly busy day yesterday as she took her dog out for a walk – or should that be run?! – in the park, before visiting her ex Ed Simons at his home. Perhaps she should have rethought her underwear situation because, following her almost see-through blouse earlier this week, Lily actually fell out of her big t-shirt, much to her giggly embarrassment!

The cute singer also spent some time clearing out her home with her Grandad (who we saw her with earlier this week), before her brother Alfie and his girlfriend Jaime Winstone joined them for a walk down to the pub. Phew!!
